Meet the Horses
By the kindness of Scotchmans Glen Gypsies, Kruse Equestrian is able to offer in-house school horses for lessoning and possible showing opportunities. These horses were started under Kelly and are maintained in her program, allowing outside riders to experience tuned rides.

Please understand that use of facility horses comes with a fee.
Gypsy Vanners
Kruse Equestrian is ecstatic to showcase this unique and versatile breed. The Gypsy Vanner breed is best recognized for its hair and feather, but their beauty goes far beyond the surface layer. They are meant to resemble their larger draft counterparts and can be a variety of colors.

Originating from overseas, this breed is an emblem of the British Gypsy culture. These horses have been selectively bred to fill the role of the quintessential family horse and to pull their elaborate caravans. Relatively new to the states, the first breed registry in the USA was founded in 1996. These efforts began when the Thompsons were captivated by these elusive horses on their trip to England in 1995.

This breed should not be dismissed as a "beginner's horse" or "easy ride", however, as they are just as smart, sensitive and responsive as the more common horse. These horses can accommodate a multitude of riders across the span of many different disciplines and are only as easy as you make them. They will make true horsemen just as any other (but you'll probably get more cuddles out of them along the way)!
Thank You!
The Bakers
Adriane and Dennis Baker have built a dream upon their property piece-by-piece, acquiring Gypsy Vanners with diverse bloodlines and talents. What started as a two-horse gig has turned into a riding, driving, showing and breeding operation. Their unwavering generosity and support has facilitated Kruse Equestrian in more ways than one- encouragement, friendship, many miles of travel, long hours and incredible opportunities just to name a few. Many thank-yous for all that they do!
